Default ps3 handhsaking issue

I have noticed since the last couple of FW updates that my ps3 is doing a weird thing after watching a movie and returning to the dashboard.

There will be speckles flickering randomly around the screen.

If I turn the tv off, and back on...it corrects it.

I know it's not the Receiver its going through (onkyo605) or the TV (lns4696d) because this never happens with my HD cable or HDDVD player.

And just started during the last couple of updates.

Yes, i changed HDMI cables, ports etc....and it still does it.

anyone else experiencing similar things?

good call, sometimes the most obvious answer is right in front of our face, yet overlooked!

It appears like a HDMI syncing issue. In some instances like at start of a movie, PS3 resyncs HDMI. Problem could be in the TV-end. However, hope a system reset would correct it.

Even component out has the same problem. Perhaps this is a minor issue of ver.2.3 Firmware, and will be fixed soon.

Okay. Hope it will be fixed soon. Video resyncing could impact all outputs of PS3 including component. I can see resyncing as my display shows x->HDMI in some instances like start of a movie. However, it does not show any other issues.
