Default PS3 issue - Help Please

Hey guys,

I know there is an answer to this - I just forget.

I got a new receiver - hooked it up.

I selected HDMI - but I get no picture from the PS3.

I think I read - that if the PS3 is unhooked, it defaults to the original analog inputs but that there is a way to get it to go to HDMI without seeing the screen.

Anyone know what I'm referring to that can help out?

It'd really suck to have my new receiver hooked up with no picture all night.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

If i remember correctly, hold down the power button for 8 seconds and the system will revert to factory settings. this will show a screen that says HDMI is detected or something like that and ask if you want to set up the settings. This is all from memory so if i am wrong sorry.

it will auto dectect if the receiver is on first. also some receivers you may have to assign the hdmi input to a specific mode button. like the aux button.
