So I don't know if this is in the right thread or not but I just watched the 300 Trailer on the PS3. This movie looks simply amazing. This is another Frank Miller movie (Sin City) and seriously, if this comes to Blu-Ray, WOW. Anyone else have thoughts on the movie?

Never heard of this movie before the tv ads. WOW this looks kick ars. If you have a ps3, download the 1080p trailer. It rocks.

This is a Warner title, so expect it on THD by the end of the year.

Yep, its out on the PS3 network, and yes, it does look amazing!

You ever notice that really strong movies don't have as much pre-release buzz??? why spend money advertising a movit thats strong enough to sell itself... where dogs usually saturate the market with advertising... Look at the original star wars (no ads) versus Santa Clause 3 (ads everywhere).

The studios know damn good and well when they have made a winner, and in the case of 300, they have definately made a winner.

Grabbed the trailer yesterday. That does look real cool. I'm surprised there hasnt been more talk circulating about this one.

Feh to THD. This movie has the potential to look amazing. And we're likely going to get a lackluster combo disc that has to be handicapped for HD-DVD's shortcomings. Oh, and it'll cost more too.

It will be amazing in theaters, because the source material is pretty hard to screw up. But on disc? Eff Total-HD.

Yeah im really excited about this one.Sin City is one of the best films of the decade and just the look of the film is amazing to see.Warner Brothers is releasing it so its a good bet it will be out on BluRay the moment it hits Standard DvD.

Just watched the trailer, its like God Of War the movie! AWESOME! Definitely going to be a hit this summer. Honestly, Summer 07 is going to be the biggest year for movies of all time IMO. Way too many unbelievable films out this year.

I have been waiting for this for a year. They have had 2 trailers on IGN that are a bit different from the one from the ps3. I just get so excited every time I watch the trailer.

The MOVIE is not by Frank Miller, the MOVIE is directed by Zack Snyder who brought us the Dawn Of The Dead remake. The screenplay is written by Zack Snyder, Kurt Johnstad and Michael Gordon.

It is BASED on Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name, but the film is not BY him. He did share directing credit with Robert Rodriguez on Sin City however. It is possible that Miller had a hand in 300 similar to what he did in Sin City and Zack Snyder did not give him co-directing credit.

The Director's Guild of America does not allow the directing credit to be shared by any of its members. Rodriguez left the DGA so he could do this, but he could for that film since Dimension Films doesn't have a deal with the DGA. Warner is a different story though. To direct a film for Warner, you have to be in the DGA.

For those that didn't know.

This hits theaters in a couple of weeks not this summer. I'm hoping Warner will release this before THD is up and running.

The trailer via PS3 was impressive. I just hope the script is as good as it looks.

On the other hand, since this movie is based on a historical event, I might think it would be better if filmed without the stylized "Sin City" effects. After all, Gladiator was a great film right? JMO

While it is based on history/legend, the look of the trailer is just Frank Miller. That is why there are lots of slow-mo shots in there, to accentuate the closeness it came to the graphic novel.

There was another leaked trailer on the net months ago. The Buzz is extremely hot on it.

It's based on a real battle, FWIW. Google for the Battle of Thermopylae. Extremely lop-sided battle.
