If you want to know if a movie is region A or Free, you can go to Movies and click on the movie you want to know about. Under Playback it will say Region A or Region Free.

i've traveled to many countries, and i've always seen region codes displayed with numbers. region 3, region 7, region 0 (all), and so on. what am i missing?

But, for the most part, it includes references to the region code site: www.blurayregioncodes.com.

Edit: The site I listed is the same as the one mentioned earlier, I'm just using their easier to remember URL.
