Default Problems with LG GGW-H20L

I've been trying to play Blu-ray movies on my PC, I have the LG GGW-H20L and it just hangs. I've tried it with the Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra and ArcSoft Total Media. The two movies I've tried it with is POTC: AWE and The Wild. I have an Intel Q9300 processor and 2x8800GTX 768MB in SLI, with Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Initially PowerDVD said I had to download this patch and I did, but as soon as I press play my PC hangs, and with ArcSoft it hangs when I see the language selection page and I have to restart my PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's really bugging me!

Try this
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=46536&page=2

Turn off DEP for powerdvd and you should get playback...
both those movies have menus that require loading

I think the instructions on how are on the end of the 2nd or 3rd page

Good luck

I just tried that and it still won't play. As soon as I press play PowerDVD hangs and if I click on anything else, my mouse and keyboard stop working.

OK I disabled SLI and it worked - so I can't use SLI when watching Blu-ray? Anyone else have an SLI setup?

i would put in a ticket with cyberstink to find out if that's a known issue...
they are really lame with responses, and might take a few replies to get them to forward your info to someone that knows what's up, but its better to inform them and them try to work out a fix than for no one to speak up and it just remain a problem
