Default Blu-ray Packaging Inquire

HI!!!

Does anyone know which will be the packaging used to stand out the the Blu-ray discs from any other High Density formats??

First we got the jewel for the CD, then the Amaray-Style case for the DVD's, later on the Super Jewel Box for DVD-Audio and SACD, so...I wonder what will come next??. Will it fit with the current shelves??

I have seen several pictures of the blu-ray disc (all of them with the cartridge protection), but not yet the packaging which will be used to launch the discs and I am a little bit curious about that?.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to this but I have seen Sony's packaging - some pics on this site also. They have a nice plastic case that the disc can be slipped into - the case can also open out but this is not required. They then have a cardboard printed sleeve that they insert the whole pack into.

My guess is that a number of people will try to patent different options and I suppose printing on the cartridge will e an option for high-value applications.

I am interested in exploring the development of packaging options and indeed, designs for the cartridge.

Not sure where your interest is comng from but perhaps we could talk.

It looks like the packaging is going to be blue.

Aren't you guys a bit harsh on Cooter's comment. I just thought he was taking a stab at comedy (and failed, but that's all).

Let's give the new guys a bit a break unless they are trolls. What do you say?

I say: Look at his post history. If that isn't a troll, I don't know what is.
