Default Should I exchange my Sony KDL-40W4100?

Today I purchased the Sony KDL-40W4100 LCD TV at Circuit City and it has sparkles that appears on the screen every 15 minutes. I'm now thinking exchanging it for the Panasonic TH-42PZ80U Plasma. Do you think it is a good idea for to exchange tvs?

i just made a thread about this problem today. Here :https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=56095 It doesn't bother me too much but since i've only had the tv for a week and there is no sign of a fix for it i'm thinking about returning mine for that plasma aswell. I'm not sure if the panasonic supports 1080/24p for blurays thought.

Only the PZ800 series supports 24p

I decided that I will exchange the Sony KDL-40W4100 for the Samsung LN40A550 on instead of getting the Panasonic TH-42PZ80U. Hopefully the Samsung LN40A550 is a good tv.

The TH-42PZ80U will have better PQ and deeper blacks then the LN40A550, plus there is no motion blur on the panny.

I'm now even more confused. I'm not sure what tv to get now. For $100 cheaper than the Samsung LN40A550, I can get the Panasonic TH-42PZ80, but its width of it maybe is a little large for my tv stand.

Trust your eyes. Watch them both in the store for longer than you should and then decide. Good luck.

Samsung LN40A550
That is the same model i went with except i believe the 550 has a 30,000 dynamic contrast vs the 530s 20,000 i saw no difference thought. I like the picture on the samsung. I looked at the LN650 and 750 with the 120hz and i didn't like how it looked, so different strokes for different folks, check them all out yourself. I use my tv for gaming mostly and blurays. And the samsungs have a pretty good responce time 5ms and 4ms on the higher models i haven't noticed any motion blur. If you just want it for movies the Plasma would be better imo.

I finally exchanged the Sony KDL-40W4100 for the Samsung LN40A550. I was looking at the Panasonic TH-42PZ80U and the Samsung LN40A550 to do the exchange with the Sony. The Panasonic had a grainer picture then the Samsung. I hope that Samsung LN40A550 works out for me.

Awesome im sure you will love the HD picture on it, i love mine. I played with the Samsung and Panasonic in the store, i got to mess around with the settings and picked the samsung because the picture was very clean and the colors looked very accurate. I just watched Batman Begins blu on it and the picture was stunning on my LN40A530. The dark knight prologue= amazing pq.
