one of the reasons my girlfriend bought a PS3 just so she could get the next Silent Hill game. I am sure she is going to be excited. Any news on what is going on with the new Resident Evil game that was supposed to be out in Jan. but i read something about a lawsuit against the company because of racial issues that were questionable in the game.

Ive beat one and two, played half of four and now starting three which im about half way through. I noticed 3 and 4 don't have much to do with silent hill, with settings that are closer to NYC than a hick town in say IL. Which kind of makes me wonder why its even called SH.

Part 3 feels very stiff compared to more recent games and the puzzles are a little hard. This new iteration needs to feel fresh tbh. All the games are beginning to have the same vibe with very little in the way of surprises. At the moment im looking forward to Siren more.

There is more to Silent Hill than just the town. Silent Hill Origins, 1, and 3 have connected story.

I didn't even know that 2-4 came out on Blu-ray. Wow! Are the sequels any good? I thought the first movie was just okay.

These are games they're talking about, not movies. Silent Hill 1 was for the PS1, 2-4 were on the PS2, and Origins is available on PSP and PS2. Actually, in the Silent HIll games, the town is actually more of a resort area, as the Main character of the first game had gone there on vacation with his daughter, so the town in 3 and 4 are actually correct in being a bit more developed. The movie changed the setting a bit, so I can see where it might confuse people who aren't so familiar with the early games.

Yeah, it looks kind of too... clean. And no anti aliasing. I hope that they can sort a lot of it out before release.

I am not going to express my opinion until it comes out, but the screens do look too clean. No atmosphere at all. In fact Alex has undergone a graphics change. SilentHill5.net has two comparison pictures and a petition to get the old one back. I doubt it is going to change anything, but take a look.

They did, I left it in the title so there was no confusion.
