Hi guys, i been actively been visiting the forums for ages now but only decided to sign up today.
![]() I was wondering what you guys think on all this talk of custom coloured PS3 business. We already saw a white PS3 get sold for a premium on EBAY and then there was the silver PS3 and now plans for the sale of a red PS3, i personally would love to see my PS3 when i finally get it at the european launch be a slick colour of my choice like a real fiery metallic colour but wouldn't really pay $1450 dollars to get one like that. If somebody were to offer a cheap but really good service to colour existing PS3 in a slick colour, i recon it could really catch on. I seem to remember loads of videos up on YOUTUBE where xbox fanbois post their videos where they bash the PS3 by showing all these neat xbox case mods you could get done but only show the standard PS3 black. This would really give PS3 fans something to show as proof that the PS3 can do something just like the xbox 360 but only twice as good |

Well, officially Sony will eventually launch a white and silver PS3, but I guess you can modify your PS3 anyway you want as long as you use appropriate materials. I dare say there are shops that will apply a design or colour of your choice.
I wanted silver, but black is all that's available for launch, so black it is! |

Don't you get the feeling that all AV appliances are re-appearing in black.
People have had the change for about 5 years to buy everything in silver, now we have to repurchase (not me, I always looked - sometimes hard to find - for black) everything. Look at the stand-alone players, several are black. the new 1080p plasmas are black, the new high-end receivers are black. Do the Salesmen want us to change our interior by adding first a BD-player? Nevermind, I like black equipment, the only disadvantage is DUST... black attracts dust like hell. So my favorite colour for the ps3 would be brushed alu in black... So the shiny PS3 will be good until Denon decides to make a BD-player. |
