Default Help with new audio setup.

Orginally I was gonna get the polk rm6750 but now I want something better. Im looking at getting two polk r50s for the fronts for 120. Now I need a nice center and two budget surrounds and a sub. Any advice appreciated.

You can get the R series matching polks.

CSR $99
R150's $99 pair

For a cheap decent sub I havn't heard too many good things about Polk, it all depends on your budget though. Here's an Infinity PS212 400 watt RMS 12" for $210.

Would the r150s for a 100 a pair be better than the r50 towers for 120 for a pair? Thanks for the help.

Parts Express has a good selection of speakers and subwoofers at reasonable prices.

Make sure your three front speakers (Left, Center, & Right) are from the same company.

No, $120 for a pair of R50's is an excellent deal for the fronts. The R150's are bookshelf speakers for the surrounds so you need both.

Alright so would this be worth the extra money over the rm6750?

onkyo 605
r50 towers x2 $120
r150 surrounds x2 $100
csr center $100
dayton 12 inch sub $150

I already have 2 little jbl surrounds I could use in the time being for 7.1

Any advice or recommendations would be great.

In my opinion, I'd say its worth it over the rm6750 set when you look at how much more speaker you are getting for not that much more money. The small drivers and the weak sub of the rm6750 set will probably make you want to upgrade anyways. You have a good receiver with the 605 so if you can afford it you'll get a better experience by spending the extra money on the speakers.
