The box art was revealed today on IGN. The game looks awesome and is going to be up there with The Force Unleashed.

Yea, it is. Apparently this game is supposed to be entirely focused on the innovative combat system to provide outstanding gameplay for the action/adventure fan, while still implementing the popular web-swinging system from the successful film adaptations, i.e. Spider-man 2. Overall, man does this game look smooth. They really have a lot to work with here, considering the storyline is up in the air for them to experiment with for a change.

I still feel it'll be overly repetitive and shallow, just like the film adaptations. and the free roaming is not really a plus when you can do so little

I don't think the free roaming will be a strength in this game. Although, exploring the city has always been fun.
But as far as the overall feel of the game, I'll bet they'll succeed in that aspect. Spider-Man is joined by a whole crew of characters this time, and the actual gameplay has a lot of potential.

After playing all 3 of the movie games, I think the first may have been the best, totally linear, none of that free roaming crap. and Exploring the city can be fun... but when you don`t do anything while going around the city.... what`s the point?
