Default x box 360 holding back ps3

as i see alot of games that are released for xbox and ps3 all the game sizes are like 9 gig down becuase of dvd with high productions cost for next gen game as high as they are making companies releas for both plat forms espisial this earily in the war. do the companys completly redo the game for each consel for just tweek it to work if that is the case ps3 would be getting held back becuase of 360?

Right now MS make a big deal that many developers use the 360 as their lead console then do a port of sorts to the PS3.

However, Criterion have announced that the PS3 is their lead console for Burnout5 and Sega already use Nvidia chips in their arcade units, so again, appear to favour the PS3 as their lead console.

I am expecting this to happen more and more as developers get a handle on PS3. So eventually I think we will see "cut down" versions of multi format titles n the 360 and the full phat version on PS3. Whether that will make use of the extra storage, we can only hope.

It's still early days, but Activision have annouced that the PS3 gets a unique version of Spiderman3, with the new green goblin as a playable character, with his goblin glider controlled using sixaxis motion steering. The 360 does not get this character playable at all, even if they did it wouldn't use motion control steering.

For now, yes, you are probably right, but I don't expect that to remain the situation for too long. That's just my opinion though!

Its not really the 360 thats holding the PS3 back but in fact the PS3 itslef, for the time being anyway.

My reason for saying this is simple, it's the fact that because there aren't as many PS3s as xbox 360s, developers are favouring the console with the most units, however the PS3 is probably gonna be neck even with the xbox 360 come march and then pass it in sales numbers in the months after.

I recently heard somwhere but for the life of me can't remember where that the PS3 had actually sold 7 million consoles, thats great news for sony and the PS3 hasn't even launched in eruope yet which is a pretty big market in itself
