Default Stupid BD case.

Why do they make those BD cases that have that stupid pull down tab on the side? My case for The Rock won't close properly. I'm worried my other cases like this will start to not close also.

Any ways to fix this?

I take that part off of the case, when they begin to pop-out. The case will still close.

Agree, I prefer the cases without the little latch.

The tabs can be pulled off the case pretty easily. They are scored in such a way that they tear right off and don't do any damage (physical or cosmetic) to the case. It should close just fine for you.

I just snap them in, on the inside of the case. Which seems to work perfectly fine for me....

I love those cases! If I could find the exact ones Sony and Disney use for sale somewhere, I'd replace all my cases with them.

And yeah like Eagle_23 said you could just snap them in the case, it will still close correctly.

Yeah, snap them into the case- they click in, they're out of the way, and you're done.

Otherwise see if Hancock's preview disc is still available for sale (2 for a penny) at Best Buy. I picked up a bunch of spare cases that way.

I dislike those cases too. The tab ends up sticking out and not serving any useful purpose.

For y'all complaining about this style of case (and I know this has been mentioned, but not with very much detail), is it because the tab stops locking in, or that the case itself is failing to close properly? There's an easy solution regarding the tab.

Open the case and look at it as if you're looking at the disc. To the right of the disc, see those two small plastic tabs? Take that flap while the case is open and snap the flap onto those two little tabs. Voila. Tab is out of the way and you never have to worry about it again.

These are my preferred style of case, but I have had one (Kill Bill Vol. 2) that would not snap in in the manner I'm discussing. If that's the case, just cut that ****er off.

if your biggest worry is how the case on your BD functions then you're doing alright

I like when I go to watch a movie and forget the case has tabs.

yea, those cases are my favorite. I ordered some of those cases to replace the non locking case such as the warner brothers uses. Those i hate. but I mainly did it for the blu-ray logo. I like it etched not printed.

CD/DVD wallets are always another alternative. I recently made the switch and personally am loving it. Just wanted to throw that out there, if you are truly annoyed by the blu-ray cases
