Default Canada Only vs. US Only releases

Sorry if this has been posted before but search turned up nothing for me. Is there a list of BD's that have been released only in the US or here in Canada? I know Amazon.com lists the Motley Crue - Carnival of Sins where Amazon.ca doesn't, same with The Punisher.

Amazon.ca doesn't have the selection it needs for me to buy from them. And I find it frustrating that it's big brother Amazon.com does. Especially when you consider that most of the product I have ordered there ships from within Canada and not the U.S.

To more directly address your question...why would you need that? If a movie is only released in the U.S, just buy it from Amazon.com or Tower.com or anywhere else.

When I wanted to pick-up David Gilmour: Live At The Royal Albert Hall I ran into the same thing. It was apparently released simultaneously, but I couldn't find it anywhere in Canada. So I bought it from Amazon.com instead.

I also notice that when it comes to BD concert releases, most of them are hard to find in Canada, although I'm seeing more of them now.

I hate living in the US.

I always use Amazon.com instead of Amazon.ca
With the exchange rate being negligible now most items are cheaper out of the USA and I get them just as fast

I order 95% of my BDs through Amazon.com rather than Amazon.ca. Fast shipping, great prices (compared to anywhere in Canada); so much so that exchange and shipping costs are negated...most of the time.

I believe the Canadian and US cover art is exactly the same except the Canadian packaging is bilingual 9 times out of 10. That's why I prefer to buy my BDs from amazon.com so that I don't get the bilingual packaging.

I didn't realize KB hadn't come out here yet. I bought the two last week in North Carolina (WalMart) while on vacation. The Outer Banks ROCK!!!

PS I agree - I can't stand bi-lingual packaging either. It's one frickin' province!

They had Ozzfest at CDplus in the Oshawa Centre (ontario).... but at a stupid price as usual in Canada...

I cant believe someone said that our cover art is better??? Its half french!! Too much clutter, the only good Canadian ones are the ones with the reverable cover....

Oh and I got A Nightmare on Elm Street..... guess you cant get that state side....

Mr. Brooks is one that the USA has that we don't... I have seen Mr. Brooks on BD only once and it was at the HMV superstore in Toronto and it was marked as an import for over $50!!!!!

Suggestion to all Canadians... buy from amazon.com... way better prices than amazon.ca or any store around... we are happy here with deals like 2 for $50 at HMV and even that isnt much of a deal when u see the same titles on Amazon.com for $14-$19... that being said Futureshop does now have a few OLD titles for $15.99.

C.R.A.Z.Y. Blu-ray is available in Canada but not USA. Amelie also but it doesnt have subtitles, so best we overlook that one.

The shipping costs from Amazon.com are about the same as we'd pay in GST + PST from Amazon.ca

So, unless the price is pretty close, it's cheaper to buy from Amazon.com
