PS3 Issues

Not sure if this is the right forum to post ...

but as of this morning my PS3 wont play my blu-ray movies.
the screen just goes to black, and nothing ever loads or plays.
it also seems that everytime i try to play a movie, it freezes my system.

it will let me play my games though.

im currently up-to-date on all updates.
i have a wireless connection on file, and everything had been working just fine.

has this happen to anyone?
or know where I might be able to find help?

Only thing you can do is save your data and restore the system.

sounds like your laser has gone. might have to be sent back in to sony

i already re-stored and re-set the system, nothing.

im either gonna give sony a call or see if my local game crazy can work on it.

How does that makes sense?

The games are made on blu ray
