The Golden Compass Cover - Blu-ray Forum

I purchase The Golden Compass in Blu from Amazon. The front cover looks similar to:

BUT every front, Blu cover I have seen looks like:

The discs seem OK but I was wondering why the difference in front cover?

Looks like you bought the Standard Definition version or a video game..

I don't think so. Here is the back of the my cover.

The back on mine is the same as the golden cover?????????

are you sure one isn't a slipcover?

mine has a slip cover that is the gold picture with the compass and then the actual case cover is the girl and the bear and its the 2 disc version.

is yours 2 discs and does it have a slip cover?

after a period of time they stop producing slip covers and they may have changed the actual case artwork because of it. The picture with the girl and the bear wouldnt make a good stand alone cover.

You have solved the puzzle. I do not have a slip on it. That makes my copy with the girl, bear and 2-discs OK.

Relief, I was thinking I got screwed.
