Default Fastest Load Standalone Player

Which standalone BD player loads discs as fast as the ps3? Or achieves load times that are comparable to the ps3?

I mean I don't mind waiting for a disc to load but I hear that some players require like a 1.5 minutes which to me is a little long.

Of course people say the ps3 is the best out there but I don't want to buy a ps3.

Also why is it that none of these manufacturers are building players that have Wireless capability? That would make things a lot easier when it comes to BD Live. Especially if you have a router that's sitting rooms away...

Well the PS3 is a computer so there's never a standalone player that will load as fast as a Full fledge computer and this is even true with DVD even now. The fastest Standalone are the S350, S550, BD30 and BD50 (and so the new BD35 and 55 from Panasonic). On average title they takes about 20sec of 'loading' and less (actual loading screen).

+1

I had a stand alone player for awhile and I used a wireless ethernet bridge to connect to my network. It worked very well.

Loading is a non issue with any of the current players.
This was more of a "concern" with the gen 1 players.

Yeah, Iron Man on my BDP-S300 took 90 seconds and on my BDP-S350 it only took 10-15 seconds...

Mine used to take that long (BDP-S300), now I updated the firmware to 4.20 and the loading time went down. But, it still loads like a bull.
