Hi, can you play Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (PS2 version) online on the backwards compatible PS3?

Can you play ANY PS2 online game on the PS3, for that matter.

Hmmm, I never thought of that part ... here's a bump so we can get an answer. I would assume so......

I would think yes . Are the servers still up for that game ? But than again, it's probably not the same online infrastructure.

It would work if the servers were up. NFL 2K5 worked, but it said "connection to the server timed out".(because they no longer exist) so PS2 online does work, but the server must still be running.(which isnt many)
