Default Playstation 3 and CineMotion. QUESTION

I own a Sony Bravia LCD 40 V 4100.

I usuallly turn on the TV feature "CineMotion", which allows a more natural look in the movement of people or objects in movies.

My standalone player is a Panasonic, but one of these days, a friend of mine lent me a Playstation 3, and although it has a very good level of picture quality reproduction, the "CineMotion" doesn't work, meaning that the flow of moving persons/objects seems to stay the same, with no improvement (or change, if you will).

I wonder if somebody can tell me why it is so, because I've tried to turn off or on any possible feature in the PS3 (like the 24p) to no avail.
