What are your PS3 Games of the Year for 2008??

I have Metal Gear Solid 4 being king still, but Fallout 3 and Valkyria Chronicles are right behind it!

GOY should go to the game that made the biggest impact on this year. theres no doubt that MGS4 accomplished this over any other title. F3, LBP, R2 are all huge games, but not as big as MGS4. and maybe having 4 more months helped.

I'm went with Metal Gear Solid 4 as I found it to be overall best video game for the PS3 in 2008.

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Game of the year edition which is also my game of the year choice. Such a huge 3D Environment, such freedom of movement, so much to do. Hope they'll do more like this one.

Valkyria Chronicles, easily. MGS4 was really a big deal, but Valkyria Chronicles just revolutionized the SRPG genre for me. A new standard has been set.

MGS4 easy. None of these other games managed to really move consoles like MGS4 did. PS3 sales went through the roof when this game was released. Not to mention it got perfect reviews and has the best visuals/storyline i have ever seen in a videogame on any platform.

Fallout 3. I've enjoyed this game more than any other RPG I've played in a long time. And I've played lots of them. Just playing a RPG in a non-medieval setting is a big bonus. The atmosphere of this game is just so creepy and intense. Kudos to Bethesda!

MGS4 is just an epic game overall! There are other great games out there.....but MGS4 is just hands down KING!

I'll give the most underated title to Battlefield : Bad Company (Great story mode, and fun multiplayer)

But yeah, id go with MGS4 or perhaps LBP (for its originality)

I'll go with 'overall' going to LBP for the sheer creativity of it and the 'like nothing youve ever seen' factor.

But my surprise hit? MK vs DC. It's got some of my favorite characters together, graphics that please my eyes, and a beautiful framerate. It's almost delivering everything i've ever wanted in a fighting game.

I felt the same way. I was impressed by MGS4 but actually had to push myself to keep playing it while game slike Dead Space and Fallout 3 just flowed easily and I was addicted.

Not sure why.
