Will we still get FW updates for the 1000? - Blu-ray Forum

Just wondering since the 1200 is out now and the 1000 seems to be working good.

Owners will have to wait and see. Samsung most likely will provide software updates for the next year or possible two years. Since the BDP-1000 has been discontinued as time goes on most likely less software updates will be available. Many Samsung DVD players that have been discontinued no longer get software updates. BLU-RAY is a different format and software updates are more important then the DVD format.
