Default Has bluray.com ever got you into trouble??

Just curious if anyone has been surfing the threads while @ work and got caught??

I had an instance a couple of weeks ago where a supervisor caught me surfing while working.

It's against company policy to be using the internet for something other than work but my job is so boring and I meet all of my #'s with ease so it's hard to stay away.

I escaped but was curious if your obsession for bluray info has gotten you into trouble before??

I've had to explain a couple of posts to my girlfriend before because they were misunderstood and explained without the entire context being stated to her. Other then that, my nominal boss at work knows I surf the web, but ONLY when there's absolutely no work to do. If I've got something to be doing, I'm doing it.

At work so far no.I do surf a lot when I am at work only because sometime its
so dead here.I need something to do.

At home got in trouble with the wife..for spending way too much time on Blu-ray.com during the format war.

i do surf while @ work. the reason why i do is because our production expectation is 80%, i'm @ 120%. our quality expectation is 92%, i'm @ 98%.

so it's not like i'm not doing my work, i just do it too well i guess. i have gotten yelled @ by the wife too on several occasions.

Not yet, but when I have people behind me doing puzzles on their computers, I don't think I have anything to worry about until I fall behind. Hasn't happened yet.

My computer does not face my office door so I've never been caught doing anything wrong on my computer. Also, my office is at the end of a hall so I can hear people coming and pull up a spreadsheet so it looks like I'm working.

It's actually held up in court in a wrongful termination suit that if you have completed all your required tasks, then surfing the internet at work is an acceptable way to pass the time.

(FYI, I am not advocating testing the limits)

I don't get caught at work, but I get yelled at a lot at home for being on blu-ray.com too much-- apparently I could be spending my time being more productive, like doing homework or studying... but who does that?

not too much, my supervisor knows, hes trying to find a new job though.

Im paid minimum wage for a job that should not pay minimum wage, my boss knows it, my supervisor knows it, so they just let me go as long as I get the work done.

They also know 1/2 the stuff that lets this place function is because Im here, no one bothered to learn how to keep very important things working.
