Default a few questions on blu-ray

got a few questions on blu-ray

will i notice quite a diffrence between bluray and dvd as i only have a philips widescreen (50hz) (model 28pw6518) :?:

as bluray discs will be equipped with dts++, is dts++ backwards compatible with dts-es etc? say for instance i want to play a bluray movie, as my amp can only produce dts-es will a dts++ encoded disc display and play a dts-es soundtrack on my amp :?:

as far as i know, there's no information about the audio codecs :?

As far as your Phillips TV goes I don't know, however the beter quality source the more likely there will be improvement (there are exceptions). As for DTS the new standards are backwardly compatible http://www.dtsonline.com/company/pre...&yID=2004&cID=
(this is not the official DTS web site) I think it has also been covered in this forum, however don't look for ++ as it has been renamed, possibly with a few changes it's now called DTS HD. However if it's lossless as claimed and there is no reason to doubt them, unless you have degraded hearing you will be changing your decoder / receiver very quickly.
