Default Which Samsung 650 - 950?

I am trying to decide which way to go on a new LCD. It will be 46" and it will probably be a Samsung. Here is how I am seeing the line-up but it is quite confusing so I would appreciate the input from others as I may be totally wrong.

LN46A 650 - probably the best buy of the lot. Seems to have same PQ as 750 and 850. Sometimes priced higher than the 750 so it gets confusing as to why.

750 - seems to have a few more goodies but not sure I need any of them. Its sound system seems to include a subwoofer but isn't putting one in an LCD frame a bad idea even if it is a little one.

850 - thinner but PQ stays the same. Price increase for thin only is not worth it in my case.

950 - best in class picture but at a $1000 premium. Is it worth it? Are the prices going to drop dramatically in the next three months? (I am in no huge rush.)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I found the 950 to be awesome in person. If you can afford it, do so and dont look back.

If you are not going to splurge for the 950, then I would go with the 650. Samsung is known for its picture quality, not the sound quality of the speakers in their televisions. So the extra money is not worth it for 1 GB and some stuff you will never use. You would be better off buying some blu's with that money, or investing in your home theater. But I will tell you to look closely at the price difference between the 650 and 750, because a couple of weeks ago, there was only a $5 difference. I am currently waiting a month or two to buy the 52" 650.

Obviously the 950 is the best of the line up, however if you dont want to spend that much go with 650 and save money. they are all great tvs though

What everyone else said is spot on. The only reason I went for the 750 over the 650 is at the time, the difference was only $100 and I prefer the 750's bezel over the 650. The sound is average even with the integrated woofer. Supposedly the 750 has the ability to play more video files via USB stick but reports over at AVS aren't that great regarding this feature.

All of them are great TVs, and I know at times the performance of this is better than my XBR4.

OK, to make things interesting, the 650 is about the same price as a Sony XBR6. Is there a compelling reason to go with one over the other?

I just received my 52" Samsung 750 LCD today and absolutely love it. I went with it over the 650 because I liked the clear edge all the way around the bezel. I think it looks sharp. I also like the upgrade to the speakers, the higher bit processing, etc. Seemed like it was worth it for the extra $100, especially because I like the bezel better on the 750.

Just got done watching Batman Begins Blu Ray and The Polar Express DVD. This tv is really great.

Good luck picking a tv out. It took me about 7 months to finally pull the trigger on this one.

I did a ton of research on the Samsung LN46A650 before I bought it and all of the good stuff I had heard was true. The picture quality blows me away every time I turn it on, you won't be disappointed. Imo, it's the best bang for the buck TV right now. I bought mine for $1580 on amazon. Obviously I would love to be able to afford the 55" 950, but I think my next TV will be a 52" 650 or maybe 750, the price is awesome for what you get!

I feel the 650 has slightly over saturated colors, and slightly deeper blacks than the XBR6 (maybe due to the glossy screen). The XBR6 has accurate colors and greyscale, while having good blacks and natural colors.
