Default 3 TVs to decide from

This is for my Uncle, he is new to the HD TVs, he is buying this for my grand parents. I know what Tv in my opinion I'd get if it was me, but curious as to what one you'd pick as well. thanks

They are all overpriced and not the best value. Have you considered Panasonic Plasmas?

they are not top of my list either, but he has an account there and these were the 3 that interested him, I'm thinking the 720P Samsung, just because it is the cheapest and I don't think he plans on getting blu-ray anytime soon plus they cant even get digital cable let alone HD cable where my grand parents live.

I have the 50-inch 720p Samsung for $800 and I love it. Hi-def looks incredible. 1080p is something for someone who is willing to spend that extra $500-1500 to have the best of the best, just my opinion. I'll eventually upgrade, but I can't see myself changing out my 50" for a 40"!

If they don't plan on getting blu ray and don't use it for any hd content at all, than i'm just wondering why in the heck would they get an hdtv all it's going to do is make them think is how crappy SD looks

he said only at sears, so you would tack on at least probably another 200-300 to that price plus sales tax.

i would steer clear of all 3 imho. i have had nothing bad bad luck with the sammy lcd sets, toshiba is not that great and if you get a plasma, get a panasonic. you can get the 42" 80u or the 85u from panasonic for around the same price as the LG and it would blow that sucker away!

man sears is expensive!!!

go with the 720p samsung. if you have to get it at Sears, will watch no HD tv, and not getting a blu ray player might as well get the cheapest one.
