Default Making coaxial cable longer?

I have a coaxial cable run in my basement and it looks like it was cut off, I need to run this to a tv but the wire is about 15 too short, is there a sort of coupler I can get to connect the new cable to the old one? Thanks

They're very common, and you can pick one up at any Radio Shack, Lowe's, or Home Depot.

That works, i'd also recommend calling your cable company, ask if they have a wiring or service assurance plan, maybe 4 bucks a month, set it up, have a tech out to repair all the lines, then call back and cancel, I trust your capabilities by all means, but may as well get all new cable if you can my friend.

Rob, you will be looking for something like this:

As for using the service plan of your cable provider, you just need to be sure that it is covered in their plan and be aware that if they pass a new cable most of them are not really concerned in hiding the cable (they will most likely staple the cable to the floor in order to get it to where you want...)

You mention that the cable was "cut off" is it cut cable or is there a connector on the end. If it was cut the coupler that is pictured above will not help. You would need to add an end to the cable and then couple it to another cable. If not sure it might be worth calling the cable company on a wiring plan.

You are right, he will need to terminate the cable with a F-Connector (which is fairly easy).
