Default Is this Evil Dead II?

Got a question for you guys. I was looking at the review for 'Evil Dead II' and saw a screenshot of an old woman trapped under a door that was chained and padlocked. Now.. the reason for my question is that I watched a film at a friend's house when I was around 4-5 years-old but I don't remember what it was called, I only barely remember parts of it and one of the scenes there was an old woman talking to people from beneath a padlocked door, just like the one in this 'Evil Dead II' screenshot.

Another scene I recall from this movie was a hand (like 'Thing' from The Adam's Family) stab someone in the back and give them the finger.

I also faintly remember one the male actors attaching a chainsaw to his arm and shoving it into a creature's face.

But I don't see any screen captures of these scenes.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you. This has been pawing at me since for as long as I can remember.

I think this movie is why old people have always creeped me out.

Yes, I used to live in Florida. Fortunately, I moved, so I don't put up with it anymore.

Old people: no depth perception, no hearing - they can barely walk, but it's still legal for them to drive!

Yeah, a friend's older brother would put stuff on (stuff with nudity and horror movies) while we were hanging out together. I also saw my first porn here. Needless to say, the guy had something wrong with his brain. If I found out some kid was showing my son stuff like this, I'd be very pissed off.

blahaha, my Dad showed me all sorts of horror films when I was a kid (no porn though). I watched Alien when I was 6! I didn't sleep through the night for about a week, but it's still one of my favorite movies of all time!!

Just curious though...

North American audiences are subjected to alot of violence on television, and movies. European audiences (my future brother-in-law lives in Manchester England) are subjected to more sexual content on television/movies. Now, we have the same movies here/there, BUT the ratings are generally different - here sex get's a worse rating than violence and vice versa overseas.

Which is better?

Would you rather let your child watch some sexual content (keeping in mind, this is not PORN... but maybe some breasts/rumps), or violence?

Yep and one day very soon, sooner then you might ever think you will be right there at the old age and you will be wanting to drive and you will be mad at those who want to remove your permit and you will have some young punk cursing you. Ah life!

Haven't seen the Evil dead movies in a long time but I think you are amalgamating the three movies and your flashbacks come from bits and pieces of all three movies.

This could be a scene of Evil Dead 1 where that girl turned into a very ugly witch is trapped under an opening on the floor chained and padlocked ...

I was born and raised in Germany, moved to the states about 8 years ago so I know about the problems from both sides. There are so many movies in Germany / Europe that are cut (usually all the graphic violence) that sometimes it's no fun to watch them, when you know there is a longer "uncut" version out there. There are ways to get a hold of them, but it's rather expensive... or illegal. The 2 worst examples were Dead Alive (Braindead) and Starship Troopers. There are several minutes missing at a time, so that the movie generally doesn't make much sense as you can tell there is a big part missing.

On the other hand I remember when the big scandal movie "Basic Instinct" was gonna hit theaters, and was rather disappointed with its nudity! LOL

Honestly I would rather have my kids see more nudity than violence (in the EU you get to see boobs and a** on tv commercials for body wash).
However they should make all movies uncut available to an adult crowd.
