Default Static through speakers

So I'm getting some static coming through my speakers. Ever since I noticed it, its all I hear and its driving me crazy! Anyone have any ideas of causes or possible fixes? My setup is listed below

SOME hiss is normal...speakers are not necessarily silent when not "playing", as it were. What volume level on the 606 are you hearing this?

Been there,

I know that sound (If it`s the sound iam thinking of) and its the sound, anyone that takes there equipment seriously drives them into shock.

I have to ask you my friend have you let lose on your speakers.

Do you think(now go back a little)Was There at any time you cranked your speakers to the point of insanity.
Maybe after a party.
Do you here the static at low levels.
Do you here the static(which i would assume just through your tweeters)

I have to ask to move forward with your question.

Is it all the speakers or one or two of them

Have you checked your connections.
If you play with them can you find a spot with your hand on them where the static will go away.
Iam assuming it would be one of your HDMI cables

Do you have your treble Cranked
Have you tried turning it down

Is the static consistent or only sometimes.
If you play a movie is the static all ways in the same spot or spots of a movie.Pick one movie and try it out

Read these articles. You may have a grounding problem.

I hope its not a grounding problem. My power conditioner should take care of that. It has a ground loop to protect me from that. And the sound isnt a hiss its definitely static. And I've never actually cranked my system. Highest its ever been is 50. I'm watching a movie right now at 40 and I hear the static intermitently. It drives me freaking crazy when I hear it though. The sounds is only coming through my surround left and right speakers. Could it be an issue with the speaker wire? Or is it a receiver issue? I just attempted to dive out my first floor window because of it but only minorly injured myself. Help!

I dont hear static at low levels just at normal listening levels

There is no easy solution. To find the source of the static sound, you may have to disconnect all your components and then connect them one by one and check for noise. This also applies to all the speakers, wires, and cables.

Man i hate that. specially when it comes from now where.
It`s just coming from his surrounds. What do you have your surrounds Volume wise.
Iam not trying to be smart ,but i know people that like to turn there back surrounds high. .Iam not trying to scare you but i personally Damaged back surrounds in the day.I hope this isn`t the problem for you

I had 60watts surrounds and i had it set to +4db,My Sony reciever was 120 watts per channel.
So when i turned up my system the backs would take a kicking. It lasted about 2 months.I noticed static ,Not all the time but a lot of the time and it drove me crazy, until i realized i damaged them.It wasn`t Consistent Static

Tlinnert,
After you do what Bigdaddy has suggested Let us know if it worked for you and if you found the source of the static

Good luck

Take your surround speakers hook them up somewhere eles and see if you stiil get static out of them.
If you want hook up different speakers to the surround wires. This might help you know if it's a the speaker or the connection problem
