Do you program this online or do you have to manually set it up? Looks pretty nice, more slick than the Harmony 1000.

Yeah, that $999 msrp is a little more than I'd be willing to pay for a remote.

For a damn remote? For that price it better be voice control, better yet thought control.

I don't consider anything that requires two hands a remote.

URC is alot like RTI, which is what I use. I also am not a huge fan of 2 handed remotes, but URC makes a very good product.

Programming either one is not for the faint of heart though.

Custom remotes from either company don't come cheaply. They are in a different league than Harmony remotes. But not nearly as easy to program for the end user. They are made to be programmed by certified dealers.

I chose the T2C from RTI which goes more along the lines of what an above poster said being "1 handed". There are some pics in my gallery.

To the OP, congrats on your new toy.

So did you get it programmed? Those are fun installing. RTI and URC are great companies, I would have to agree with you.

Why didn't you get the new MX-6000?

There's a problem, there's times when one handed operation is a must.

You install the editor software then download the updates, then you program it via usb cable from your computer. I haven't gotten a chace to use the Harmony yet... so i dont know which is better...

Yep, got it programmed... So many features, i got every system in the house on this one remote. As far as the mx-6000, i would've gotten it but only one was available and he got that one for himself.

It does take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, possibilities are endless...
