Hey, I'm new to this site. I have a 1080p Toshiba LCD. I was wondering what kind of blu-ray player I should get. I want an inexpensive one.

Welcome! I use a PS3 as my Blu-ray player, but while I was looking around for a new tv yesterday, I found this...
http://www.refurbdepot.com/SAMSUNG_BD-P1500.cfm It is refurbished...

I don't know much about that site, or the player, but I am just trying to help

I think the PS3 is fantastic, It decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA,so the audio is awesome!

Either of the Sony stand alone players seem to be decent buys, the panasonic unit is good also, but the best bang for the buck may be the ps3 if you don't own one already. Great game console and blu ray player for the bargain price of just 399.00! All of the above can be found at Best Buy btw.

John

p.s. welcome to the site, you're my boy blue!

A solid SA starter player would be the Sony BDP-S350. Around $240 at Costco.

Although, I prefer my LG BH200 over all right now. A really nice player if you can find one, discontinued, you could probably get a decent deal.

To the best of my knowledge, unless you drop this account altogether and create a new one, you cannot change your name. Furthermore you got the right spelling for blueberry so by all means you should keep your account's name, it is fine in my opinion.

Try the PS3

Welcome

Welcome
i am living proof that the seemingly impossible is possible
if you PM iceman he can help you out (or marwin too im guessing)

also welcome to blu, blueberry! i only have a ps3 so i dont have any knowledge of the other players, but i can tell you my ps3 has been perfect for watching blurays. ive never had a single problem playing any blu (ive always kept my firmware up to date). if you're not a gamer at all and don't expect to ever play ps3 games, maybe a standalone player is better for you. check the hot deals forum constantly and the bluray players forum for advice. i'm sure people will help you out here too!
