Wishlist: Wheres Jaws, ET, and other Speilberg Films? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone have any idea why two of the top grossing films of all time aren't on Blu-Ray yet? These were the first two Blu-Rays I wanted to buy!!! And I couldn't get them! How about Raiders of the Lost Ark? Is that released yet?

P.S. I'm a bit of a Spielberg fan . . .

I've never heard of those movies. They sound made up.

They sound made up?! How old are you? Everyone, who knows "movies," has heard of "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and JAWS." They're some of Steven Spielberg's top films.

I think you need to turn on your sarcasm detector.

Typically, catalog titles with such far-reaching appeal won't get released until there is greater penetration of the format (though there are exceptions to that, of course). In the case of Spielberg's films, I believe he has pretty tight control over all of this Universal titles, so it's probably up to him when they get a Blu-ray release.
