Title Repeat on Blue Ray Players - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,

We have a Sony BDP-S1 blue ray player that has a "Play Mode" button on it's remote which lets me repeat the title of a Blue ray movie. I am looking to buy another blue ray player and want this functionality. Does anyone know which blue ray player other than SONY BDP-S1 has this kind of capability?

I would appreciate your response.

Is this play mode a feature that repeats the movie over & over? Sorry I never owned a Sony BDP-S1.

Yes it repeats the movie over and over. I let the BDP-S1 in title repeat mode last night (in our lab) and just checked this mornig and the movie is still running.
I am looking for a Blu-ray player with this capability. Do you know if Samsung/Panasonic/LG/Phillips or any other Sony BD player has this capabilitiy or not?

Ok I found one ... Sylvania NB500SL9 has a "Repeat" button that will let me repeat chapter or title ... it will also let me do ALL Repeat..so it has multiple "Repeat" modes...

I do not know how reliable this unit is ... I am gonna be using the Blu-ray player 24/7 for 3 months straight in a lab setup for some HD encoding transcoding test ... I need somehting rock solid (like BDP-S1)

I believe I found one ... LG BD300 .. Just checked it at Fry's and checked amazon .. The feature name is "Blu-Ray Playback feature" - chapter repeat, title repeat A-B repeat etc etc. This is what I am buying. I might give Sylvania a try too ..

Too bad Costco does not sell either one ... I love their return policy (90 days).

My panasonic bd35 allows me to loop a movie over and over again, I haven't tried to repeat a singular chapter... but I will look into it if I have time and no one else posts back before I can get to it.

I don't see a repeat button on the remote for this bd player...how are you repeating the movie over and over? I am talking about repeating blu-ray movie.

Okay I looked into it for the Panasonic BD35.

If you press the "Display" button that is on the lower half of the remote it will bring up a menu during movie playback. One of the submenus allows you to repeat either the title, a chapter, or no repeat at all.
