Default Why is it that BD's do not want to repeat title?

OK so me and my fiancee are the type that need something on while sleeping. So recently I had started to notice that BD's do not have the ability to repeat titles?

For those that are confused if you want to repeat a movie over and over you need to repeat the title (another downer is most TV shows have individual episodes labeled as titles so it's usually impossible to repeat the episodes over and over: I know Simpsons does this so no way to really repeat the episodes over and over however Scrubs I can select Play All and repeat the title and the disc will continue to repeat itself but these are DVDS)

So any reason why BD's don't allow repeating of titles?

hmmm I didnt even know there were dvds that did this. I don't think there would be any particular reason that its not on BD other than most people not really using a feature like that. theres gotta be some way to get it to play over and over again. maybe a setting on the player itself?

(on an off-topic note, im also a virginian and HUGE redskins fan............I really really hope they're better this year! although I'd love them just the same if they weren't haha )

You need something on.... while sleeping? I can understand needing something on while you're falling asleep, but why does it matter what's on when you're sleeping?

If it is true and you cannot due this with blus it's because most people are not going want to keep on watching the same episode or disc over and over again. And just turn on the tv to fall asleep with, why does it need to be a disc?

There are a few Blus I have come across that will automatically begin playing the film after sitting on the menu for a few minutes. This feature will basically give the movie a repeat function because once the film is complete, it will cycle back to the main menu then begin the movie again. I'm not sure if this is close enough to what you would be looking for.

I can't think of any titles off hand, but I believe some Disney/Pixar films will do this.

Why don't you play a DVD of the Redskins games this past season? That's guaranteed to give you nightmares.

The Redskins are actually in Maryland, no more than 25 minutes from my house. And we should be doing better this year. May we'll win the Superbowl, the game will be released on Blu ray and you'll be sleeping happily from there on listening/watching/sleeping to it.

The eccentricity that presents itself on these forums really blows my mind sometimes.

You should try listening to old time radio shows. There's something comforting about falling asleep to those.

Lol wow. Many of us just want way too much out of the format. Why not get one of those Nature Sound discs? Those are good to fall asleep to. Or simply a Metalica CD

Movies without menus will repeat over and over again. Freddy vs Jason and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are a few.

You can always tune into Fox Movie Channel when they run the same movie three times in a row.

I turn on cable Fox or Letterman on, set the TV's sleeper button for one hour and then go to sleep, TV shuts off after one hour and all is done.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thread since that one asking the best way to open a new BD.
