Pirates of the Caribbean Three Disc Set - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone heard of, or have any input on a Pirates of the Caribbean set that includes all three movies like the Mission Impossible collection. I want the first two, but I am hesitant since I don't know what is going to be released this fall when the third installment hits the home market.

Any thoughts on whether I should buy the first two now and wait for the third to come out, or wait for the possibility for a set of all three. Thanks.

I'm sure there'll be a set, but they want you to buy them separately first.

There is going to be sooo much content on these first BD versions that I think I will be more than satisfied with these.

But with a 2 disc release for each of the first films (and then most certainly for the third as well) I don't think you'll miss out on anything. All the bonus features will be there already. The only thing plus you'll get on a set is probably a cheap carton slipcase for the movies you can get now seperately (I mean on May 22nd). So I'll get them now and third when it comes out.

Now I notice that these will be BD-50 discs

, are both discs for each movie BD-50? If that is the case they must be packed with special features to utilize all that space! I hope those special features will be in HD and not in SD.

AFAIK it's a BD50 for the movie and a BD25 for the extras. I think we can expect quite a treat

At least DIsney nows how to do a major movie blu ray release....hopefully some of the others mainly warner will follow suit......esp when Pirates becomes the highest blu ray selling movie of the year.......

I was not much a a diesney fan or a fan of the pirates movies but when i was forced to watch it, i was wrong, they are perty good movies ad funny. i am looking forward to getting them.
