A Bronx Tale? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know of any info on a release of "A Bronx Tale"?

It's getting harder to track down a DVD of it (probably have to use ebay) and I think it's a great movie.
They already have 'Godfather', 'Goodfellas' and 'Casino' on blu ray, I'd like to see this movie get the same treatment.

(I basically signed up to this site to ask that question, haha)

Its coming out on BD 10-Jan-2012 as part of the 'Universal 100' to celebrate Universals 100th Birthday! Plus you can order the DVD directly from Universal for around $11 USD

so is this actually coming out in Jan. ? if so what region then? I can't find any news about a U.S. release or links to buy/pre-order, am I missing something?

Last I saw it was going to be a UK release, region 2, on March 19, 2012. (the region info may change before Mar 19)

The Jan 10, 2012 Universal Studio release in the USA for $11 seems to be DVD only not BD.

no, the DVD is already out. He said the DVD was hard to find so I pointed to it.

First I'm hearing about this--great news. What other titles are part of the Universal 100th anniversary besides Jaws and To Kill a Mockingbird?

From Universals own webpage, it shows a re-release of the DVD for A Bronx Tale on 1-10-12. The Amazon.UK page shows a pre-order for the BD in March. (region 2/B)

There was a pre-order for a US BD, but that seems to have disappeared, maybe it was cancelled.

Looks like I'll be importing in March if it is released in the UK.

Does anyone have any further information about A Bronx Tale coming out on Blu-ray for Region 1? Is it scheduled yet, or not?

The DVD version of this title is absolutely horrendous in its video transfer; at least the snapper-case variant I own...

It's not on BD in the US yet, but Universal did a DVD-R and an FYE exclusive DVD and it's so much better than the awful HBO DVD (I have the FYE DVD).

BTW its region a....there are only 3 regions on bd, a-b-c

I bought the DVD before I made the switch to Blu. I might import that disc at some point, maybe. It's not high on my want list. I thought it was region B only though.

I may have to pick this, plus the UK release of Amityville II: The Possession in its Collector's Edition (DVD) variant, up if these are multi-region as I believe my Oppo BDP-83 can play these...
