When we get the columnist complaining about Republicans and religious-Rights being portrayed as meanies, I suspect we're seeing the REAL reason this article was written...

Meanwhile, those who want actual movie cliche's might want to look up the several books (and past weekly online columns) of "Roger Ebert's Little Movie Glossary":
Featuring such time-honored entries by name as the Climbing Killer, the Talking Killer, the Fruitcart Chase, the Economy of Characters rule, and the Meet-Cute, several of which have since entered our national language.
(Even the "Magic Negro" seems to have become an official term, as it was once used to describe "the Whoopi Goldberg Maid Trilogy".)
