Thumbs up ID4 looked fantastic!

Not sure where did I hear this from, but I was told Independence Day on Blu-ray looked like an upconverted DVD. Never in a million years!

Having the title on my self for a long time, I managed to slip it in my movie schedule and gave it a go last night, already thinking that the disc was going to look "upconverted" from DVD quality, because someone told me and I gave in into that persons critique, let me tell you that whomever said that to me, its completely wrong! I was "awed" by the PQ on the disc, sure it shows its age and in darker scenes detail does not pop or impresses, but daytime scenes just look breathtaking. Surely the best edition of the film-to-date.
