Default Number of Users on Blu-ray.com has exploded

Anyone else paying attention to how much traffic Blu-ray.com is getting now? It's astounding compared to what we used to get not too long ago. For example there are 619 on the Hot Deals Area alone right now.

I'm assuming this recent rise in traffic is very good news for Blu-ray as the Christmas season approaches.

It's exploding not only because it's a well run site, but because the interest in Blu-ray is exploding.

Also because we are being driven from other sites that allow constant trolling.

There is no doubt that there are ever increasing numbers of Blu lovers. There is also no doubt that there are many who purchased HD DVD and are now bitter at the success of Blu and are out to spread mis information trying to suck people into they're inferior format.

How sad but also it's fun to see them squirm on a weekly basis when the numbers come out.

Everyone is starting to see the light, and a lot of the HD-DVD fanboys are finally giving in I think.

Transformers week was huge blow to them.

I think the numbers started really increasing when the crazy Warner thread was going on, and then there was the Michael Bay debate thread, and then AV$ closed the High Def forums, ... but ultimately the increase I hope is due to increased interest in Blu, rather due to a couple of silly threads.

I'd like to think it's due to the awesome reviews our reviewers are cranking out.

I've noticed this too. The number of new members coming in is just nuts. I'm glad this site has gotten so popular. Keep it up Blu-Ray.com!

How does one account for the lurkers? I, too, have noticed that the number of people on this site frequently exceeds 1,000...
