Polk PSW10 10-Inch Sub

should be a nice entry level system for me i hope ...

my question pertain to the wires i need .. hdmi is taken care of, but im clueless of what other wires to buy for the speakers. Can someone point me to the right speaker wire to purchase>? and should i buy those banana plugs?

Buy as much 12 gauge wire as you need from monoprice.... for instance, if you think you'd need 100 feet total, go with this ....

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

If you want to go in-wall you'd need something like this

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

As far as banana plugs... they're basically just for convenience..... although some would say they provide an audible improvement..... if ou're going to lose the signal between the wire/speaker, you'd be just as likely to lose it between the wire/plug....

But for the cost of them, I'd just get them if I were you

Subwoofer cables are the same as digital coaxial RG6 cables. Here is a link
http://www.monoprice.com/products/se...ofer&x=31&y=21

Scroll down and choose the cable of appropriate length.

thanks guys ... im going to measure around the room and figure out how much speaker wire i need ... another retarded question lol .. i notice each speaker has 2 pairs of inputs (red/black x2) ...
do i them need to figure out my wire distance and times that number by 4?

that's if you want to "bi-amp" them, which means you have power driving the highs and power driving the lows vs just one power source powering the whole tower. Would recommend it for the fronts.

interesting ... ok cool, ill do that for the fronts in that case .... so i would figure out how much wiring i need for the fronts and then x4 ... then figure out rears and x2, right?

Well in order to properly bi-amp you need 2 seperate outputs on your receiver. It honestly makes no sense to bi-amp if you have only one set of outputs for the right, center, or left speaker. In this case you'd be putting 2 sets of wire (4 wires total) to one set of outputs.

Nice..... you're on fire with the deals lately!

And to the OP..... I wouldn't waste your time Bi-Amping, although many here swear by it for some reason or another......

Most of the speakers in question have the build quality of a Yugo..... you wouldn't put High-Octane in a Yugo (and that would probably yield more noticeable results than Bi-Amping many of these speakers)

EDIT:

wasn't speaking of your speakers..... just in "general" with many of the recommendations here..... I just got back from the bar when I posted that....so it came out kinda rude, but wasn't intended as such.
