Default Killzone 2 load times.

Does anyone else feel like the load times, given the levels, number of BGs and no install, are ridiculously short?

Maybe the excitement of playing it has caused me to not notice how long they are, but the at least seem incredibly short for what the game is.

what bothers me is when the 'holographic' image keeps on moving when you move the siaxis controller... makes me dizzy.

the load times tho, albeit a 'teeny weeny bit' slow, is superb, considering it doesnt necessary need to d/l anything to the ps3

I agree, I hardly notice. But I haven't tried the Single player yet, just been doing MP. I'm really impressed all around, servers have been awesome so far this weekend.

Me too! I don't really like it. I didn't get it at first, but even when I did I think it looks tacky and kinda annoying. A small price to pay for a great level though.

This game should be an example for all other developers on how to avoid mandatory HDD installs while still having extremely short load times. Guerilla did a great job managing it.

I love the "load times" , if you can even call them that. They are just like the half life 2 load times except they last 1 sec, 3 at the most. It's very impressive to see a game look this good and have no mandatory install. It would be nice if they had an option though to install so you could erase all load times maybe?

Regardless , very nicely done.

I was thinking about that too, but I think the install would have to be on a level by level basis like Metal Gear Solid 4 was.

What timezone?

I would be SHOCKED if there were no issues this early in the release, but it sucks when you run into them nevertheless.

I noticed in the beta that restarting my PS3 would let me get back into servers. Maybe that would help? PITA, but who knows.

anyway

The Multi-player between game syncing is annoying, but I figure it is worth it if it makes the game run smooth. Plus I get to pee in the middle of war. That is always a +.

Yesh guys, its just something to do while the loading screen is up. Would you rather just have a little round circle in the corner saying "Loading..."?

I am impressed with the load-times given the fact that you don't have to install anything to the HDD. Between level loads aren't bad, and during level loads are good as well and only last a split second each. I agree with what someone else said that Guerilla did a really good job and it would be nice if more developers handled their load times this well.

I agree, the learning curve is seriously getting smaller and smaller with each and every new game that Sony's 1st party devs release

I hate the ingame mini load times (hicups) during the single player campaign. It is very, very annoying to me. I'd prefer an HDD install.

The demo ran from the HDD. Think about it.

The game copies level content as and when it's needed.

Are you telling me to add outbound as well ? wasn't sure Just got your friend request. My friend is playing some SP so I'll accept as soon as I can get the controller back in my hands ( If he ever lets go of it, haha )

I too am happy with the load time. It seems like it can be avoided so I wonder why it is not.

Also, I actually like the holographic image, it's something to toy with if you want or you could set the controller down if it gives you a head ache. I always enjoy interactivity with loading screens, like in most of the DBZ Budokai games.

Speaking of the Sixaxis, I think it is used superbly with the sniper rifle.

Using the sixaxis and R1 & L1 buttons to turn wheels is genius!
