as of right now there has been no official announcement for a re-release. however, that isn't to say they aren't coming. just like with DVD, there will be double and even triple dips for many movies. it's your decision whether you want to hold off for who knows how long. if they are a great price and you enjoy the movies, just get them now

I just bought Total Recall today (French release mind you) edited by StudioCanal using their masters and it is Region AB. If you ever considered importing it that is.
Same goes for Terminator 2, the Director's Cut disc is Region AB.

These look and sound better than any previous release of these films.

If you like the movies, go for it.

Can't say anything about 'Commando,' but 'Predator' looks better than you'd think based on the specs. Frankly they made a smart move in dumping all of the special features to make room for the movie.

As for a re-release...Fox is so slow in releasing catalog Blu-rays the first time that you might have a long wait ahead of you. At those prices I'd say go for it.

I have Commando. I like it. Not much for PQ, but it's a mindless 80's action flick shot on low-grade filmstock. It's the best it has ever looked.

Commando will not be getting double dipped anytime soon. Predator will eventually be reissued in a better edition but no word on it so far.

Is this in-store only? Or in Canada only? I just checked wal-mart.com and Predator is listed for $17.86.
