Default I have a blank white screen, Need Help!

So I just tried to turn my system on to watch TV. I have a Time Warner Scientific Explorer 8300 cable box. Panasonic DLP TV. The cable box is connected Via HDMI to my Onkyo 606 and then via HDMI to the TV. Sound is coming through just fine. I can hear the TV shows but all I get is a blank white screen! When I press "guide" on the cable box remote I can see the guide and displays on the TV but I cant see any TV channels! I put in a movie in my PS3 and the movies display just fine on my TV. So I dont think its a TV issue.

Does anyone have any ideas? Sound works fine, Movies work fine, the cable box displays work just fine. But all TV channels show up on a blank white screen. Thanks in advance.

i think you need to call your cable company or try resetting your set top box. unplug it and leave it unplugged for 5 mins then plug it back in. it will reboot. give that a try

+1 it must be your cable company problem or the cable box.

Two possibilities: it's your box or your receiver.

Run an HDMI cable from the cable box straight to the TV and see if that fixes it. If it does, it's the HDMI input on your receiver.

Believe it or not, unplugging the SA 8300HD is the proper way to make it update and reboot. I'd try that before anything else.

Thanks guys! That solution worked of course. In my panic, I forgot the most simple fix. I've had my box for over a year and thats the first time I've run into an issue. Thanks again!
