Default Dragon Ball Evolution- Is It Coming Out?

I know the new live action Dragon Ball movie comes out April 10th. I plan on seeing it. But there's something that has been bugging me. Where's the advertising? I have not seen one commercial, poster, billboard, or anything promotional related for this movie. All I've seen are the trailers online and that's it. If they expect this flop of a movie to make any money, shouldn't Fox be marketing it in someway?

I've seen a poster for it and I've seen trailers for it in theatres. It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of promotion, guess they're hoping word of mouth will do that.

They don't expect it to make any money. It's a miracle it's even coming out.

One of the biggest DBZ fans around but not even remotely interested in Evolution, may actually make horrible movies like Tree Of Might and World's Strongest and Dead Zone look good.

I guess you haven't seen the original live action Dragonball movie then because that one makes Dead Zone look like it could win an Academy Award.

That one was from Korea, right?

I'm such a huge fan that I have to see it, whether it bombs or not. Hell, I've already put my money into the seasons (multiple releases) and the Blu-rays. Why not this one movie?

I thought it was from China but could be wrong. But yeah I think that one was called Dragonball Magic Begins or something like that or at least the American title for it.

Big DBZ fan here. Just watched it and thought it was pretty good. Not what you expect really but not a bad take on the whole Dragonball concept. Many easter eggs for fans without requiring new viewers to know much. I'd say 7 out of 10 from me.

It's just been released in cinemas over here, as a fan of the anime I'll go see it but I don't expect too much of a real characters movie.

Fox bending another movie over and boning it. I haven't seen any TV spots but the local dollar theater has been playing trailers at all the screens. They have a big vinyl poster hanging on the ceiling at the theater.

Yeah, it was Chinese. I couldn't remember. I just knew it wasn't Japanese. I've never actually seen the whole thing. I did happen to catch parts of it while I was on vacation in Mexico so I was watching it in Chinese with Spanish subtitles. Man, was I lost.

At first I was mad they managed to ruin every single character and make it about high school. Now I think it will be hilarious.

The trailers that I've seen make it appear to be an O.K. action movie, fans just have to "forget" that they are supposed to be watching Dragon Ball....

The movie was released here in Mexico yesterday. I took my kid to see it. The movie is ok at best, to be honest, I expected it to be much worse. Its more than evident that this is a low budget film. Kids will definitely love this one, as mine did. Justin Chatwin's Goku is presented as a teenager who want to have fun and likes girls, well, at least the Chi Chi caracter played by the HOT Jamie Chung. But also he is aware of his powerfull skills. For us the best thing was that the voice in spanish for Goku was done by Mario Castaneda, the one that has done it for the entire Dragonball animated zaga (adult Goku), so for us was a bit more easy to accept the Chatwin Goku. I was a bit impressed by the sweet Emmy Rossum, she did a very good Bulma! for me was the most close caracter to its animated counterpart.

I never understood this.

If it's called Dragonball it better be a good DRAGONBALL movie. Not just an action movie.

DBZ and Indiana Jones were the things of my childhood, Still watch them regularly. So I have to see this.

Wait, Emmy Rossum as Bulma? I may have to see this after all then.
