Default Need some LCD help/advise please.

Hi all,

I'm looking into getting a new tv and the model number system from Sony has confused me just a tad.

Most likely i'll be getting a 40" (it's a pretty small room) although i'm tempted to try out a 46".

What i've been looking at so far:

1) Samsung LN40A750 - $1999.99
2) Sony KDL40XBR6 - $1999.99
3) Sony KDL40Z4100 - $2099.99
4) Sony KDL40W4100 - $1499.99
5) Sony KDL46W4100 - $1699.99

(If anyone is wondering why the prices are so outrageous, it's because i'm in Canada)

So based on the above, a couple of things jump out at me as follows:

1) Why is the 40" XBR $100 less than the 40" Z series? I thought the XBR series was top of the line for Sony?

2) What's the deal with the W series? They are significantly cheaper than everything else. Are they lower end stuff? If so, anything i would be missing out on?

Thanks
