Default Fire and Ice on Blu-ray

Blue Underground announced this coming out. I must be the only person whos seen this movie. I loved it. The story is a little unclear- (Is Darkwolf the villians father?) and it has some unintentionally funny moments, like when the villian is moving the glacier with his mind, he looks like hes going to the bathroom. However, the overall movie is good. The animation is dated but if you liked Heavy Metal, then you should be happy with Fire and Ice.

I picked up Two Evil Eyes and was happy with Blue Undergrounds transfer. I should be happy with this blu when it comes out.

IM STILL WAITING FOR "THE PROWLER"!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna have to get the "Fire and Ice" Blu-Ray when it comes out. It wasn't so bad. I'll keep the 2-disc DVD too, so I can have the Frank Frazetta documentary too.

I don't know of any of these other films being mentioned; I'll have to rent them some day.

Maniac is notorious for it's VERY disturbing and graphic violence. Joe Spinell is fantastic as the maniac and Tom Savini's SFX are over the top! This is a true classic masterpiece!!!!

Fire & Ice is great, one of my most anticipated BU releases. Can't wait to see some Bakshi in HD

You're not the only person who has seeen it. I own it on DVD. I was very dissapointed in both the story and art work. For those inspired by the cover work, be aware, that is nothing like the actual animation of the film. The animation of the film is very poor.

This is one of the those titles that I really struggled with selling off on DVD. I never imagined it would be available this soon. I am very happy to see Bakshi's film making it to Blu-ray. If it sells well, perhaps Sony will consider releasing his film, "American Pop."

Unless they push the release date back again, it's coming out September 1st (next week)!

I place my order for it yesterday, cannot wait to see it, I think the last time I saw this movie was sometime in 1984 or 85

Based on Blu-Ray.com's official review, it sure looks that way.

Bummer.

I'd like "Fritz the Cat" and "Heavy Metal"(original only) on blu.

I think Heavy Metal has a good chance for a blu transfer since they are making a new one
