I would say...

1. Play.com
2. Amazon.co.uk
3. asda-entertainment.co.uk

Play just edge it,due to offering good deals ie 2 for 18 and 2 for 22.

Amazon have a buy 2 get 1 free, but I have done some research and your
pratically paying 2 for almost 30 and getting one free. And they are similar Titles at play.com on their 2 for 22 deal.

I mostly use blahdvd.com, sendit.com, and amazon.co.uk and I'm very happy with all of them.

In order I think the top retailers are
1) Play
2) Amazon
3) HMV
4) Asda-enterainment.co.uk / Sendit.com (Both are operated/owned by The Hut group as are some others sites so I treat them as one).

I say amazon.co.uk is better. Their 3 for 2 deal has had me buying 3 blus for £18, which is better than the play deal you mentioned.

Hay nomeames:

Why don't you just add a poll with a bunch of store-names mentioned here?
Then you get some fairly clear statistics of the most used stores.
Unless you just want people to post their top 3s.
But you could add it, just an idea.

I guess also, Amazon and HMV...
For the rest I couldn't really name any like that, I don't live there.
I just go with Amazon most of the time, easy and quick.

I would say: base.com, zavvi.co.uk, sendit.com, hmv.com
order is based on time and price for shipping to eu (im from slovakia)

im most satisfied with base.com fastest delivery took only 2working days and postage is only 1 pound

My vote included HMV but only because they often do a decent 9.99 offer on a resonably recent film which lasts a week.

sendit.com / zavvi - worst of the pile
blahdvd.com / dvd.co.uk - best in terms of shipping speed. Packages from them got delivered to Japan within 3-4 days when Royal Mail takes about a week to deliver within the U.K.
amazon.co.uk - satisfaction guaranteed. need to say more?

I knowticed that asda-entertainment and zavvi are listed seperatly instead of listed with the hut/sendit and lovefilm.

Just to note if you check the sites they state The Hut operate them and they do other sites (entertainment.currys.co.uk, dixons-entertainment.co.uk and possibly more). Zavvi online was taken over by the hut group.

Also with tesco enterainment I knowticed that tesco is a client (I don't know if tesco just uses them for online only as a contract for shipping the dvds only or the hut operate it).

I guess it comes down to what film titles your purchasing. But Its always good to do some research on the best deals. And look on sites like ebay for really good deals
