This burner says it has SecurDisc-- does this technology work on burning blu-rays?

Also I am strongly considering purchasing this product for data storage backup-- I would love to hear positive or negative experiences

**ALSO can BD-RE DL ( the 50 GB dual layer discs) be burned on this product?

*****Also, I have read that this does not come with cables to install it or software to run it. What will I need to buy so I can burn and Read BD-Rs and BD-RE's with DATA ONLY on them.
Also what will I need to buy to be able to install the burner

I believe it is CD and DVD only.

SecurDisc is for CD and DVD.

Also look at the new BH08LS20.
