Default One Piece At A Time

My little basement room is 16x11x7. It was trashed when I bought the house so everything has been redone (drywall, wiring, texture & paint, light fixtures, windows, carpet). I have it at a point now that I am very happy with it and enjoy it quite a bit. This great community has been the source of inspiration for most all of the changes, additions, and upgrades. Thanks so much to the people here for the help along the way !

My gear includes:

Samsung PN50B860
PS2
PS3
Motorola DCX3400 DVR
Denon 4310ci AVR
Bowers & Wilkins 683 Fronts
Bowers & Wilkins HTM61 Center
Polk OWM3 surrounds
SVS PB12-NSD on Auralex GRAMMA
Cyron Lighting

I would like to add a separate amplifier and another sub to the mix, as well as some acoustic panels, but like the thread title, it will be one piece at a time. I like to save and pay cash for my stuff so no debt is involved in the process.

Sure is a nice start. I like the speakers.... Hopefully you'll have some more pics up soon.

Very nice setup. I'm just jealous that your sub has SVS on the woofer. I have the same sub, but mine is just black.

Looks nice & cosy. Get yourself two-philips livingcolors (link them with one controller) for throwing colour onto your walls.

Can someone expain in laymen's teerm's how you import photo's of your stuff into HT-Gallery?

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions. The livingcolor lamps are cool, I have also been looking at the Cyron led accents.

I am going to get some different bookcases for the rear that are the same height, and then lower the rears about a foot.

Hopefully I can replace the lamp with another sub .

I finally got the new bookcases for the rear and it makes the room look much better, I had to take the rear pics down from the gallery because of it haha. I also ordered the cyron lights last week so I can move the lamp out of the room. I will add some new pics this week after I get the lights hooked up.

Go with the projector...it will do more for your HT than anything else you mentioned.

If I had to guess, I think it would be the Oppo 83...but I was telling eric this, that I find it hard to upgrade to it since my Panny BD-30 has been stellar, and it would seem to be a $500 upgrade to get SACD's and a few more bells and whistles that I am not sure if many mean all that much to me....but I keep reading how awesome it is, so of course I want one too.....

It's funny how that process works . That's how I am with the dual sub want, even though I am happy with my bass resonse right now in my room, I keep reading about you guys with duals and it makes my trigger finger itch like crazy lol. I'm sure the 83 would be absoutely awesome, it's little brother 80 does a fine job as well .

Have a good day guys!

Unless you watch a lot of DVDs you might want to go with the Oppo 80 for just under $300. It seems like the 83 is for those who watch a lot of DVDs or use analog still.

I thought I read that the SACD's processor (I don't remember what it is actually called) is better on the 83? Enough so to help warrant the higher price tag. I have thought about the 80, but I then I think about how buying the 80 would be like buying the "cheaper" or "smaller" version of 2 subs, when I know I should just get the "best" or "biggest" one from the get go.
