Any Armageddon news? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone hear of anything about a release? This is a great movie and would look and sound awesome if transferred right. Is there any Disney releases? I thought I heard National Treasure was coming too. I'm not totally up on which studio's have released what.... so forgive my ignorance. I just know I wanna see Armageddon on blu-ray.

I believe Michael Bay saying that the master was damaged in a fire, and needed to be re-done for blu-ray. No word on when it will be restored or a release date.

I really want Armageddon too. I forget where I read it but I remember reading an article that stated Bay would have to do a whole new master because their previous one got destroyed in a fire.

I am keeping my hopes up on a 2008 release though.

Maybe now that we have a single HD format, it will be easier to justify the remaster for the BD. I also want this since the DVD is not in anamorphic WS.

It's going to be quite a while before we see it on BD. It sounds like a big remastering job.
