Default Twilight playback problems [Sharp, Panasonic, Funai etc]

Hey all!

I have a sharp bdhp20 and the most recent firmware (nov 15 2008) and when my wife tried to pay her new twilight blu ray it would show the laoding bar and one it was done it stopped for a moment then showed the stop logo and went to the blu ray players default screen...

anyone having this with this payer or otehrs? I looked for a new frimware but nothing was new on the sharp site... this part of blu ray is what i find really frustrating...

THANKS ALL!

Default Twilight BD not working on Funai Players?

I just read three post about this problem. I have no desire to purchase the movie, but I am wondering does anyone have a Funai (Magnavox, Slyvania, Insignia, Phillips, etc.) player that Twlight successfully plays on?

I have not read of this problem. If that is the case, it is probably a firmware issue.

My Insignia NS-BRDVD has played everything except Twilight

After multiple attempts, I could never get the disc to load. The deck would say "LOAD" for about a minute, flash "BD" for a couple seconds,
see a Twilight progress bar on TV screen, then do nothing but say "STOP" with the firmware's wallpaper on the TV screen. Had the disc exchanged and both do the exact thing.

Have had no luck finding Insignia firmware.

Anyone try using the Sylvania firmware on Insignia (or any other Funai)?

Searching around I have see a few others with similiar problems.

Default twilight not working on sharp bdhp20

is everyone having this issue? I have the Nov 2008 firmware...

it shows the loading bar up to 100% then stops the disc (stop logo shown on screen like if I hit stop) then it goes to the main player screen

I have no intention on watching this movie but you're not the only one with this problem. Others that have a Funai player also have this problem. You all must've downloaded a Trojan Horse or something

not sure that is what happened for me, it worked for months jsut fine off the last firmware update... and didn't do any changes until after this issue.

I notice the canadian sharp site has a frimware from nov (the ne I have) but the usa site has one from march of 2009, tried to run this one but it says there is an eror with the file???? I noticed on the usa site they had an update in oct not nov, is there a difference between the usa and canadian players????

Unhappy Panasonic DMP-BD30 Not Playing Twilight

Hello all!
I'm hoping your great expertise will assist me today. I attempted to load the Twilight movie, and it did not work. I have updated the most recent firmware to my player (v 2.7) and it is still not playing. Plays other blue rays no problem, but this one it just is not working.

The movie licon comes on the screen, appears to be loading, then player displays "STOP" and screen goes to the blue-ray screen.

I tried loading on my sons PS3 and the movie plays just fine.

Any suggestions?

Also, make sure you have a memory card inserted on the player. This is a BD live title and It is a known fact that some BD live title will not play without a memory card.

Memory card? Do you mean SD card?
